Greased Lightning does have some resemblence to Colette Thurille, but a very
significant difference between the plicata ring factor and the regular ring is
that the plicata ring is on both the falls and the standards, whereas the ring
present in the CT pattern is only on the falls. I'm posting another "ring"
iris on iris-photos. This one seems to have a tangerine ring (I say this as it
very well could be a dusty-grey pink or a pinkish tan, your guess) with a
regular plicata patern. Note that the ring is on standards and falls, but more
pronounced on the falls. Also note how the regular plicata stitching is pushed
back from the edges where the ring is present. This seem to be a regular
feature of the "plicata ring" Also the yellows have a green tint and the pinks
seem to be a dusty pink. Perhaps clearer colours with more work, but I
suspect that there is a different pigment here. Imagine pink ring with blue
center. A possibility with this pattern.
