Found this explanation: "Improved plants (versicolors) are crossed by I.
ensata, recrossed by versicolor x self and crossed again by I. ensata or
virginica."
Haven't heard whether any of the advanced generation virginica crosses have
worked so the definitions should be:
Versata: Versicolor X JI
Biversata: (Versicolor x JI) X versicolor or selfed
Reversicolor: ((Versicolor x JI) x versicolor) X JI
