Hi, Betty,
I really haven't counted the buds on Noreen's Delight, but I'm sure there are more than eight. I keep several clumps in different locations on my place, and I've had it in bloom from the end of February to mid-April. It tends to be quite early which is good for our climate, not good for the cold countries. The stalks are magnificent. they get a blue ribbon at the show every year.
Our Sun Country Iris Club is hosting the region 15 spring treck in 2003 and my garden will be on the tour. This fall I planted a 50 ft. row of Noreen's Delight along the walk in front of my house. When it blooms, I will take pictures and post some to Iris-photos. I have a nice one now, but it shows the falls too purple. They are a dark, velvety blue. I think I will post it though

Francelle, I like the parentage on this one. Always loved Ruffled Ballet,
but it only had 4 buds and didn't want to grow here. What is the bud count
on NOREEN'S DELIGHT?
