Very dark irises seem to be picky. Baltic Star seems to thrive in
northern climes. And does less well here in the south.  Will be
interesting to see how well Hollywood Nights (from Roger Duncan of
Superstition Gardens) does outside California. It has, by far, the best
form I have seen in an almost-black iris. Lotsa ruffles.
