TB: Set To Music

I haven't written in a while 'cause nothing much new has happened. All the
Byers rebloomers are still going, along with Cast Of Characters and Wearing
Rubies. Now, Set To Music is blooming, from a slightly pineappled rhizome.
Because of the pineappling, the blooms are not lifting fully in their sockets;
but as they are, they are beautifully wide and free of any spray pattern. I
hope this holds for the properly opened flowers as well. It is a typically
lovely Blyth neglecta, with nice ruffles, rich color and better-formed
standards than many of his earlier introductions.
Favorite Pastime is also about to bloom.
I have had some leaf spot this season, for the first time in years. The rain
(and a few physical problems) kept me from spraying for a couple of weeks, but
yesterday
I finally got out to spray (Fung-Away) all the iris (and a few roses). Added
a trailing camelia and some irish moss (always wanted to try it, the shady
side of a melianthus major looked like a perfect spot).
