Some of you have asked, so here's the update:
This year's crop of baby endangered whooping cranes finally made it to
Florida today, following the ultralight aircraft. Previous years'
adults, on their own after being led their first year from Wisconsin to
Florida, got there ahead of the babies & their aircraft, even tho they
left Wisconsina few to many weeks later.

Details of their exhausting adventures getting from one site in TN to
the Wildlife Refuge near me (complete with their encounter with fighter
jets near the nuclear plant) are on Day 41, Nov 25 in the field journal,
