Re: HYB: making a fantasy iris

My goodness, Neil, you've given me names of some irises that I already
grow and and even some used in crosses! Not a small feat, considering
how many don't grow and refuse to make babies. The only thing missing
from your 'recipe' is rebloom potential, except for WEARING RUBIES.

PRINCE G and ROM EVE both have either had pods or pollinated pods here.
WILD WINGS and WEARING RUBIES are new this year. I'm waiting to hear
how you do with LOUISA and to see how her sib, SILK ROMANCE, which
blooms later, do here before getting her.

Wouldn't I need a luminata to get rid of the sap pigments in the pink
spot around the beard?

As for compost, lots of room there...

<How is this as a starter suggestion? ....WEARING RUBIES..LAST

How's your compost pile doing? Neil Mogensen z 7 western NC>
