Just a quick update. This year we swapped from the burrito method we have
been using for years, to a method taught to us by Sharon McAllister. Her
method uses perlite soaked in water. Then you plant your seeds in the
perlite, wrap them in a plastic bag and set them someplace out of direct
sunlight for 30 days. Then they go in the fridge for 30 days and then back
out and so on. Well, we just completed our 30 days out and were moving the
seeds into the fridge for their first cold spell when we discovered that 6
of the 18 batches of seedlings had some germination and three of the six are
arilbred babies! It wasn't a very high percentage at this point but none
the less it is germination after only 30 days and we are thrilled!!! We
also noticed that several other batches look like they are starting to
erupt.
