Linda, what about TALL TALK or the AIS Bulletin?
Either place would be interested, I would think, in an article like what you
are a considering. I f you were to drop Judy Nunn a note and ask her if she
thinks this is a potential article, or Bruce Filardi, the two editors
involved, you might get an encouraging reply. Speculation on how to go about
getting something specific in a breeding project would seem to me to be
interesting reading for a lot of the potential readership of either
publication. Your article might even encourage someone to try their hand at
raising a few seedlings.
That reminds me--I ran into a comment about Kuntz's Dykes-winner DEBBIE
RAIRDON. Even though the Check List says "parentage unknown," there was a
comment (in TWOI, I think) that one parent was said to be "a Fay pink." Ms.
Kuntz raised a few seedlings perhaps from a single cross and went all the way
to the top. Who knows? Maybe this one is yours....
