Re: HYB: making fantasy iris

I remember when Patricia was on the list and wanted to produce pink iris 
with blue beards.  What ever happened to Patricia?  I know she was 
living in WA State, was it Whidby Island?  

The fantasy I have is hybridizing for fairly dark clear blue iris with 
pink beards, good branching and substance, rebloomer and some ruffling. 
 does that appeal to anyone else?  Any suggestions for how to get there? 
 Perhaps Margie can send a photo of one to the list after a bit of 
sleight of hand with her paint program?  Neil could possibly suggest 
some down to earth information that could make the dream a reality and 
several others on the list could do the same.

Winter is taking its toll on me isn't it?  Impossible dreams just 
require a wider palette don't they?
