Here is a great review page on batteries and chargers especially for cameras:

The Card Reader is by GE and reads Compact Flash, Smart Media,

I saw a Kodak card reader at Walmart which was very similar and
nearly the same price.

and Mike, no suggestions on battery holders, but if your camera
takes AA, I highly recommend the Rayovac 3 in 1 Battery Charger.
It's a small unit that plugs straight into the wall. I bought NiHM
rechargeable batteries and can take almost as many pictures as I can
keep track of in a day with the one set of batteries. My current
camera eats regular AA batteries faster than I eat all the Christmas
cookies. I went through more than a dozen batteries on a tour before
I got the rechargeable batteries. I've been using the two sets of
rechargeable batteries I bought for almost two years now, so they
take a lot of charges.
