Re: HYB: Lloyd, Immortality sibs, neices, nephews...

Patrick (others), is this a better type of cross than crossing
siblings? I assume it is, but have no idea why this would be better
than a sibling or maybe a half-sibling cross.

Did Lloyd elaborate on why he recommended that type of cross? Was it
just for rebloom potential?

I am starting to accumulate a lot of IMMORTALITY kids, all of which need
improvements of various kinds. I had thought I would try some half sib
crosses. IMM tends to be a bit balky about blooming much here, doesn't
make pollen, is too short, doesn't have as good substance as I'd like,
etc. Although options for crosses are limited here, I could try harder
to back cross to IMM if I knew why....

I told them that and Lloyd suggested if I get
anything out of it, it would
probably be best to cross the child back to
Immortality.>
