A few seeds from a few crosses of the refrigerated, fall planted seeds
have germinated, but not nearly as many as in previous years. The same
warm weather that gave such wonderful long fall bloom may have been too
warm for good germination.
Or...
I skipped the toilet tank soaking this year. I know others have gotten
good germination without it, so thought I'd try it this year. Maybe
that leaching before chilling is necessary for my crosses.
Or...
Maybe they should have stayed in the fridge a few more weeks. They have
certainly been getting some extra chill outdoors lately, so perhaps more
will germinate when I bring them indoors.
