Re: COMP: My Web Page

Hi Cathy,

I was referring to our LOCAL iris society website (SUN COUNTRY IRIS SOCIETY in
Phx., AZ), not AIS.

I also thought I was replying to Mike G. personally. I didn't realize I was
sending this to the iris-talk. Sorry about that.

We had just been talking together last Friday about different web-publishing
programs. For now I will have to use the current method of actually writing
HTML language, but in the near future I will start to use FRONT PAGE. I will
be getting the program for Christmas, so it will take some time to learn it
and then incorporate it into modifying the website.

When I get it all up and running, I will let you all know so you can give me
feedback if you wish. This is all new to me, for the only experience I have
had with web pages was once a few years ago when I created a web page on
Geocities using their Page Builder program. The Page Builder program was
free, but it was extremely slow with my dial up that I had at that time. It
took hours and hours to create a page.

The feature that was the most helpful to me at that time was the drag and drop
technology. I liked that much, much better than writing HTML programs from
scratch.
