Bobby makes some important points. Let me say unequivocally I AM AGAINST REQUIRING PHOTOS WITH REGISTRATION. The key word here is REQUIRING. A certain ethic has established itself within the Iris Society, that if a plants name is lost than it is no longer distributed. Some people even toss those in their own gardens. This is a reaction to the times before registration when there was chaos. Several plants going under the same name and other plants going under several names. Registration is so important, that adding an additional burden, that in any way could restrict it being accomplished, would be reprehensible. Unfortunately there are still irises being sold that are not registered and in no way would I wish to add to that. But I am trying to be a strong advocative for a VOLUNTARY system, probably to the point of being obnoxious. Yet I feel it is necessary to overreact at bit just to get things moving. My apologies to Anner.
