Hi,
The BIG question is how does the AIS Board feel about this?  has anyone
approached them?

 A few yaers ago I would have said it would not be possible that anyone
could find the funds or time to map the DNA of an iris. But since the human
genome has been completed, several animals and plants now have their
complete genomes mapped. Anner is right about setting our dreams high. In an
aside does everyone realize that half of the human genome is the same as a
plant?
