Neil, let me take this a step further.  Renown is a sibling of GCD (both 
Matrix x Suky).  I'd guess that GCD may have come from a second cross, but still 
the same parents.  

Then, we have my introduction from 2004, Vanishing Act.  Renown is the pollen 
parent (and Matrix is one of the parents of Renown.)  VA (as named) has faint 
plicata markings, primarily on fresh blooms in cool weather.  Still a plicata 
none the less!  The siblings looked like the pod parent . . . a pale, narrow 
rimmed brownish plicata. 

Looking at GCD & Vanishing Act (attached) I would say that Matrix carries 
plicata.
