Re: CULT: How do you feel about interspersing other plants in your iris beds?

A couple companion plants that have done well with my Iris that have not been mentioned are Tree Peonies with intermediates they mostly bloom at the same time bloom at the same time, and painted daisies with the tall-beardeds. I usually like to plant my garden areas so that separate sections bloom simultaneously. I also like the dwarf herbaceous peonies like 'Early Scout' or P. tenuifolia in combination with the MDBs or SDBs. A self sown biennual, sweet Rocket often comes up in my rows and add either purple or white usually after the TBs. California poppies also work nicely as a non competive ground cover.
