Re: CULT: replanting rebloomers brought inside

Gee Will, why didn't I think of that? I have plenty of pots and dirt. I'll
have to try that next year. Normally you might not get the chance to replant
them until later but this was an extra early thaw! I think it's supposed to
be warm clear through Tuesday! I'm thinking of all the electricity we're
saving. If it was me I would put them back out, but only if the ground
wasn't frozen.

Glad to hear that Hi tried to rebloom here. Monty Byers said it rebloomed in
Stockton, CA, now it's rebloomed in Stockton, MO! Got enuf to share? Why
don't you bring it to the sale next year, I'd like it a lot, as I love the
horned ones.

See you at the meeting! Cheers, Barb

Subject: [iris] CULT: replanting rebloomers brought inside

This fall I had some late rebloomers I dug before they got frosted, and
bloomed them inside (Coral Point, and IB Hi. I'm curious what others do
with them after they bloom. This week has been oddly warm here, and I went
ahead and planted them out at the beginning of the week. Usually this
wouldn't be the case, it's not normally 60-70 degrees this time of year in
MO. Anyway, I'm curious if people try to acclimate them back to the cold
temps, or just keep them inside until spring. Just curious, this was a
first for me, but after having iris blooming on Christmas, I think I'll have
to do it again.
