CULT: survivors in the vale

Here's the list of irises new here in 2004 that have done fairly well.
Not all bloomed last year, but all have gone on to produce blooming size
increase. Rushed review, so hope I didn't miss any. This was my first
year to try a collection of irises from Burseen. Other new stuff came
from Schreiners, Riverview, local club swaps, MidAmerica, Rockytop, and
a few "try this Linda" & trades by mail. Hardly a random cross-section
of what's available.

ANOTHER BRIDGE (did not bloom, <very> healthy)
BERRY CLASSIC
CLOUD BERRY (stunted, but fertile)
COWABUNGA (I don't remember this one blooming, but am not sure)
DARK PASSION (stunted stalk, but ferocious grower)
DAUGHTER OF STARS (stunted, partially damaged early spring stalk, frozen
out fall stalk, but growing like mad)
DEEP DARK SECRET (no bloom)
HUE HEAVEN
HUNTER PINK
LUXOR GOLD
ORANGE POPSICLE (stunted, but good looking pollen)
OVER ALASKA (stunted)
RANKS OF BLUE (has grown like crazy, not sure if it bloomed)
SATURIBICO (did not bloom, <very> healthy)
SHAKE AND BAKE
THEME MASTER (stunted/damaged stalk)
TOM JOHNSON (stunted/damaged stalk)

DIGNITY DANCER was <very> healthy, grew well, fertile both ways,
produced gorgeous bloom stalk (not stunted at all), then didn't produce
any increase! Darn it all.
