Wow -  I never thought I would think of myself as lucky in upstate NY.
   
  This all makes the conditions of plenty of ultra clean well water (13 gals/minute and I'm the only one drawing from this aquifer), reasonable precipitation most of the time, cold winters, moderate but moderately humid summers, 1500' in the Catskill Mountains, with soil that is slightly clay (as long as you don't mind stones) but that tests out as needing no augmentation at all to grow anything, sound downright nice
