The IB are quite ok for producing pods, it's their pollen i have problem with... Michael Sutton has given me some hope though, he says the new ones are finally more reliable for fertile pollen. 
The ploidy must inprove with the new crosses you would say...

Believe me, I know what it's like to be stuck inside. You've been lucky that its been nice so long there.
Though I may not be the best choice by a long shot, will do my best to try and explain anything that interests you if I can. Hopefully if (when) I mess up we'll get some help with corrections.
Just need about 2 weeks because I have a big project that I need to finish up, and December is a super busy month at work. You'll just have to think up an assignment for me and I'll do my best to simplify the language.
And good luck with Pookanilly, IB's may be tough, but I've set pods on quite a few here now. Didn't know IBs had infertility issues, so I made some crosses- and they took. Enthusiasm can outweigh book knowledge in many cases. And hybridizing should be fun!
