Re: HYB:Research:Building a better rebloomer

Betty
we cannot control everything and i'm sure that among a whole row of seedlings, one day, THE perfect dream come true will appear! and it will feel like a miracle!

(easily explanable afterwards, of course, but couln't have been planned beforehand!)

So, we must relax and as you said before, must i remind you....:there should always be a little room for fun !

But how do we know which ones have left the genes behind? Is there some way
we can look at an iris and tell that it will or won't pass on a lurking
plicata gene? Or that is even has the lurking gene? Or do we need to take the
time and space to cross them all to plicatas? Just to check?

My personal preferences run to domed standards, clean colors and clean hafts
. . . little or no veins. Love zonals without veins! Especially the
red/yellow ones. <vbg>
