RE: HYB: Great times for breeding reblo

Two different local commercial folks (one a commercial nurseryman, the other a landscaper) have told me independently that there is a great "need" for a Stella D'Oro type of reblooming iris.

Doesn't <that> give a flower lover the shudders? I can see it now - landscaping urban areas with Bradford pear, Stella, and some weedy everblooming zonal/plicata purple iris.

So I looked at that wierd three stalked fall blooming pastel rosy lavender amoena seedling this fall and wondered if this is what they think they want... ??

I am joking - both of these guys have good taste, but they also have to plant/sell to landscapers who want such a plant.
