You're good!  Initially my crosses are listed as I make them.   Once I've
weeded out the ones that don't take, I sort by pod parent and assign permanent 
numbers.  (Prm)  (# sd) is shorthand for the number of  seed.  Many other
things go on the lists.
In hindsight, I'm learning to leave the field # on the Excel list to make it 
easier to hunt up the field information.  (notebook)
