'Docent' means someone who has be accredited to do something.

in the case of the Wiki, only people who fulfill some requirements are allowed
to go 'backstage' to write things.
These requirements are: a good level of iris knowledge, and the technical
knowledge to be able to write within the requirements of the Wiki software
(that can be learned on the website...(yes there is hope for the technically
challenged...)

When i say 'backstage' i mean: open new files, write down the registration
data, and write down the hybridizers comment.

But if you don't master the technical tools, and can't (or don't want to) be
a 'docent', i imagine that if what you have to say is interesting enough, it
will easily be uploaded by a 'docent'.

Because what we are after there is 'content', and content cannot be prevented
from entering the site because of technical limitations.

I had to look up docent. Sounds like these are volunteer teachers? So
are the docents going to teach the photo contributers, or something else?

<I am training docents one at a time and hopefully by end of January I
  will have about 100>
