I have finally gotten the word. If I sign up for iris register while a regular
member of  AIS I will have dual membership in AIS and will remain so until I
drop one or the other and one does not affect the other. My paper bulletin
will be safe unless I do something to affect it. 
 
As structured e-membership
may increase membership in AIS.
 
Thanks Tom for clearing this up. Is John
Jones still the contact to sign up for th iris register?
