Linda, if you're having 70s, your babies are going to be too used to warmth to acclimate to any sudden, severe drops. I'd at least cherry- pick your 'best' ones to bring in. Especially pinks/oranges. If you want to kill the slugs, instead of temporarily relocating them, try a dish of beer, fresh or stale, set in the ground so it's easy for them to crawl in and drown. They follow the scent from quite a distance. What you don't need you can always drink.
