Cool! I hope they will live for you at least long enough to see the flowers! ;-) Did you use MAGIC NUMBER for the color/pattern or some other reason (i.e., survival/fertility)?
If you haven't tried SUN SHINE IN glaciata yet, it might be worth a try in your cold greenhouse. It's still alive here in iris hell. Will let you know if it blooms a second year.
In retrospect, now that I'm slowly learning the genetics of plicata locus, I wish I'd tried RENOWN X SSI, but RENOWN X "those most beautiful" usually are very weak, don't live long enough to bloom, & SUKY is rarely fertile, so MATRIX seemed a better bet, to at least get the genes into the mix.

Thanks Chuck.

I was hoping somebody had made some crosses with SUKY to see if she
would produce luminatas. As you pointed out in the discussion back in
2004, the pattern on CLARENCE and SUKY seems very similar & since
CLARENCE produced DAUGHTER OF STARS, I was hoping SUKY could also yield
luminatas.

I have both CLARENCE and SUKY, but only have one successful cross, &
it's an old one from SUKY. Lots and lots of her grandchildren via
RENOWN, a few via GARDEN CLUB DELIGHT, and some 'grandseeds' via OVER
AND OVER.

And now I'm going to have a few half glaciatas from MATRIX X SUN SHINE
IN, assuming they survive and aren't too awful.

Lots of recessives in too small doses, trying to at least keep them in
the mix.
