Ok, here's another - I hear mention of 'aphylla branching', & realize I have assumed I know what that means, but don't think I've ever heard anyone describe it.
A lot of the rebloomers have a lot of branches (i.e., Summer Whitewings, some of my seedlings), and some seem to branch so low, it appears to be inside the rhizome, resulting in what looks like triple stalks. I've never cut one of these triple stalks apart at the base to see how far down in the terminal fan they start. Will try to remember to do that next time I have a bunch of them.
So, what is aphylla branching? Linda Mann --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE IRIS
