Barry wants to know about the Plant Finder:
The Plant Finder is a directory of plants and where to buy them, covering
nurseries in the UK and Ireland. It is published each March by the Royal
Horticultural Society in book form, and is now published in April in CD-ROM
format. The CD-ROM also includes the PPP Index, which is a similar work
covering the whole of Europe. Both contain information about export, along
with contact details, catalogue cost, etc. The plant index is literally just
a list of names, but does have annually revised nomenclature (if you like
keeping up with the latest trends -it can sometimes be irritating!). It is
*essential* for your bookshelf if you are serious about plants.

For information, the current edition lists 2801 iris varieties.
"England" is a small planet that orbits freely in space off of north west
Europe. WE have our own language, bizarre customs, strange units of measure
and drive on the correct side of the road (unlike the infidels on the planet
USA).
