Roger Mazur, 5824 Erskine # 7, Omaha, NE 68104, has been named to replace
Dick Pettijohn as Treasurer of the American Iris Society Foundation. The
foundation is a separate entity from AIS, and funds grants and scholarships
and related activities. Donations are tax deductible. Anyone wishing to
send a contribution to the AIS Foundation to honor the memory of Richard
Pettijohn, who died in an accident last month, may do so by making the check
out to the Foundation and sending it to Roger Mazur. For your information,
Richard Butler of Arkansas is the president of the Foundation.
If you would rather make a contribution in memory of Mr. Pettijohn, or anyone
else, to the American Iris Society, checks should be sent payable to AIS to
Jeanne Clay Plank, 8416 Vine Valley Drive, Sun Valley, CA 91352-3656. If you
would like the funds used for a specific purpose, such as the AIS Library
Fund, indicate this in your transmittal note.
