I don't think that anyone meant to imply that the decision to close LSG was
not justified.  I feel that Bill Shear's concerns are vaild ones.  Farron
was entrusted with some valuable stock in the seedlings of Joe Mertzweiler's
and the US stock for the Pryor's iris.  It is sad that he didn't try and let
Heather and Bernard know about his decision before notifying the list.

I look forward to being able to get some of the Pryor's iris as soon as they
can find a new US garden for them.  If I only had some dirt, I would offer
to give them a home and distribute; but, 500 square feet will not cut it.
