SPEC: I. attica (syn: I. pumila var. attica)

From:	dkramb@tso.cin.ix.net (Dennis Kramb)

I'm growing several clumps of I. attica in containers. Amazingly one
plant's fans is quite plump and I suspect this is a bloomstalk forming
within. Probably my bringing them indoors has convinced them it's
springtime. I'm slightly worried as they are not getting any direct sun
indoors, whereas in their natural habitat they get full sun all day long.

I've seen dark red I. attica and yellow I. attica. I'm anxious to see what
colors mine turn out to be.

I hope the other rhizomes decide to wait until spring to bloom! Otherwise
my hybridization plans will have to be re-planned.
