I dunno about the Georges Duboeuf, but Syrah is a horribly underappreciated
grape-and a major component in many of the good quality southern French
reds. The Australians also do lovely things with it. I don't know if the
Taltarni winery is still in business, but my first case purchase was of
their '82 Syrah, and I still think it was one of the nicest reds for under
$25 I have tried.
