Hi Barb,
It sounds like you give your plant the same treatment that I give mine.
It seems it was a bit reluctant at first. Now we have adjusted to each other
and we're very happy. As a matter of fact, last years I got viable seeds off
it and there are lots more seed pods this year. If they are viable I'll soon
have enough to share. Don't despair. The plant if fairly tough.
