The returns from just Virginia were, as Anner Whitehead stated, a bit thin.
To give a better idea of how a discrete area of the country votes, I
have widened the net to take in AIS Region 4; DC, MD, NC, VA, and WV.
145 different cultivars and species were voted out of a total of 1224.
The greatest number of Region 4 votes for any given cultivar/species was 3
Two cultivars/species received three votes each: I. tectorum alba and Vanity.
Seven cultivars received two votes each: Dusky Challenger, Carolina
Gold, Clarence, Fairy Fingers, Lady Friend, Shaker's Prayer, Thornbird
Historics received 35 votes
Rebloomers received 34 votes
Space-agers received 3 votes
species count is nebulous depending on the placement as such things
as TB diploid cultivars, etc., etc.
The vote was distributed across cultivars/species as follows:
