Hi  Linda,
The original SDBs were crosses of TB X I. pumila.  There also could be some 
IBs in the back ground of SDBs.  These are SDB X TB, but may have been small 
selections that were then crossed back to SDBs to get seedlings with the 
proper sizes to be classified as SDB.  I have also found unnamed TBs in 
ancestries I have researched.  I think they may have been seedings which the 
hybridizer did not bother to provide parentage for.  This is upsetting when 
you are trying to indentify the source of a particular characteristic.
