I cannot speak for others regarding how they vote, but
each time Batik blooms for me it takes my breath away.
 I find it so exquisitely beautiful and really look
forward to seeing it each year.  However, I am one of
those purists who only votes for iris I personally
have grown, because I want to be sure I can grow them.
 Some of the best loved, most beautiful iris that
people vote for and praise don't grow for me.  I don't
vote for them.  :-)
