Almost certainly not, although there are some dead horses we have certainly 
continued to beat until long after the shoes made from their hides have worn 
out. Also, I've personally observed that any digression into drama or ad 
hominem issues, implicit or explicit, tends to cast a pall. 

But, speaking for myself, I've gotten to the point after several years that I 
rarely bother with anything with a sloppy subject line. I usually don't open 
anything that just says "Digest Whutevah." Ditto to most things with no 
attempt at an intro subject abbreviation as defined in the list guidelines, 
although there are some exceptions, as the guidelines say there may be, and I 
try to always keep a keen and benevolent eye out for newcomers and innocents. 

Not that I'm a big fan of rules, rituals or toeing the line, mind you, far 
from it, but we are talking simple courtesy here. It takes time to be an 
active member of the list, by which I mean giving back as well as taking 
from, and my time matters to me.
