Re: TB: Blacks and growth

From: "Dell Perry" <Dellp@gwmail.plano.gov>

Janet,
I have grown RAVENWOOD for years. It is a good grower, and will grow in a more shady spot than most. It increases well, after the initial year. The blooms are HUGE, DARK, and surprisingly wide for it's age. It is a little doggy, no ruffles, but the huge flowers are worth it. Everyone who visits while it blooms always has wows for it.

I would be happy to send you a start.......maybe you have something for my states bed we could trade for? or PATENT LEATHER, or SKUNK GREASE, or COCOA PUFF? E-mail me off-list.

Maureen,
That's how Hello Darkness has been for me, slow toincrease and no bloom
yet!! I was surprised it got the Dykes, personally. We need a good
growing reblooming red/black...gonna get Ravenwood this year and hoping it'll
rebloom for me. Anyone grow RAVENWOOD and can tell me how it performs?
