Michelle,
There are lots of TB's which have proven to be good parents,
it really depends on what you are trying for. For example many Space Age
iris came from Sky Hooks. A lot of the new Bicolors with red beards are
coming from Romantic Evening, etc. If you have a 'goal' in mind it would be
much easier to suggest good parents. Otherwise just use the Iris which look
and grow the best in YOUR yard. If you use two Iris which are very different
in color and/or type (plicata/bicolor/self etc.) then the seedlings will be
a very mixed bag with perhaps a few nice surprises. Similar parents will
usually throw seedlings that are of a more consistent and similar nature,
but perhaps less likely to be anything 'new'. Let us know more of what your
ideas are.
