Are we talking about TB seeds?   I planted my TB's  9" apart last year, 
when all the books said at least 12", due to shortage of room.  They are 
growing like weeds, most have several increases, and I only lost 10-15 
out of 400+.  But then I was hovering like a new Mom not just letting 
nature take it's course. 

If I don't cull most of them I will be very sorry I didn't plant them 
farther apart!

Now if it's not TB's....
