iris that we both have is called ERMINE ROBE or IRMA'S ROBE. It's
definitely an older form and throws up stalks that are about 45 inches
tall. It is pure white with yellow beards. No ruffling, flounces, horns,
etc. It is usually one of the first to bloom, but continues to bloom all
season here. Does anyone have any information on this iris that I could
add to my database? Thanks in advance.

Hi Leslie,

ERMINE ROBE is a Schreiners' introduction from 1969. The registration
height is 38" and it is described as "ruffled". I don't think there is any
iris named "Irma's Robe". It is just a case of the proper name being
misheard, as in Walter Moores' famous example of "Isle of Nuns" for ILA
NUNN.
