It's always good policy, IMHO, to purchase irises from iris growers.  Your 
chances of getting a good quality plant, correctly named and one that has not 
been sitting in storage forever, increase exponentially when you patronize 
the folks who have devoted themselves to a narrow range of plants.  

Furthermore, you have to figure that chances are that Springhill or Wayside 
or whoever is probably just a broker....

My opinion and, as they say, worth what you paid for it.
