Re: CULT: cow death
Hi From Another Wendy,
Being a dairy farmer, we have lots and lots of cows and calves around and
they manage to reach my irises, underneath the hot wires and fences , the
greedy things...They have never suffered any ill effects from eating my TBs
. The rhizomes have gone down their throats dirt and all and not an ill
effect was had. They also like to munch my JIs and Sibs and I fear if they
could really reach those, there would be nothing left as those are the
favourites.Dahlias are spat out , so are daffodils as they dont like the
bitter taste and as I look out the window , a few heifers are attempting to
reach a few tasty leaves/limbs on my weeping cherry, which looks great from
one side and a bit lop sided the other. But the thing that most cows/horses
adore, freshly harvested roses.........I could almost write a book on what
my greedy bovines like, basically anything that I do. Does anyone remember
my spring bulb massacre, 14 calves loose in the garden for over 12 hours.I
hope this spring is better. and that no one leaves the gate open again,, aka
don the husband...Bye for Now, Wendy Sargeant, Zone 8-9ish Aus.
