Walter, I have a  1st cousin  who is allergic to irises - can't grow them 
anynore - since we share a grandmother who had diabetes, and she has it, I 
have to watch out for that - now my worry is  I hope I don't ever share her 
allergy - a fate next to the one worse than death!  But I'll be careful not 
to  eat any since onlycows have magnetic stomachs to sieve through the 
untouchables -- but then irises aren't metal.   By the way, I know about rose 
hips, but what part of the iris is a hip -- the pod?   Rosalie mr Baltimore
