PVC pipe shows are not pipe dreams. They are the best thing
since sliced bread if you can accept a mixed analogy.
We have tossed our leakers and replaced them with non-leakers.
Since the PVC fad has been around, I have never seen a bloom
wilt because of lack of water. It's possible, but your placement
committee or youth can take responsibility for checking on the
water levels. They can also fill the stands with water the night
before the show. Some clubs permit members to take the PVC
stands home and are table ready on arrival at the show site the
next day.
In case a stem does not stand properly, an easy correction may be
made by simply making a wedge with a stalk from another iris.
Those wine bottles are soooooooo heavy.
It's so nice to have uniformity with the PVC stands than to have a
conglomeration of glass bottles - prune, wine and pop.
