Hi Pat,
They are not talking about irises that happen to have only one blossom on a
stem. They are referring to single blossoms cut from a stem and displayed as
a single entry or as part of an English box. Bulbous irises are not eligible
for the Best Specimen of Show award, but their ribbons do count toward Silver
and Bronze Medals.
