Hi Jim,
     Wow, you beat us with that old small purple!    That one, and I'm pretty 
sure it's the same one we all seem to have, is always the earliest 
except...there's this short white one,  (height like an IB), yellow beards, 
very simple with no ruffling but nice width in falls not being "dog eared" at 
all, that blooms around Myrtle Beach the earliest.    I'm not sure it's the 
same one I got a piece of from a neighbor in our last neighborhood, I'll have 
to compare pictures of them.     I did have one reticulata come out and an 
unguicularis bloomed with another forming.
